Agricultural Shows

Currently, we are accepting bookings that coincide with the NSW Country Shows Calendar and we look forward to bringing our multi award winning “Snake Tails” show to you.  All age groups are fascinated by reptiles and, Bob always has time for questions as he demystifies our Australian reptiles in a safe, fun and interactive environment. We have been the recipient of Best and/or Most Popular Exhibit in Show over the years on the country show circuit; most recently at shows in Newcastle and Bathurst

Bob Withey is a respected herpetologist with more than 20 years of experience in the industry with all the necessary licences for displaying reptiles along with a Public Liability Insurance for $20,000,000, which is a pre-requisite for such performances today as well as a current Working with Children Check.

 “Snake Tails” at a glance:  The “Pit” itself is approx 4.5 metre square x 1 metre high.  From here, Bob will handle 4 of the world’s deadliest snakes (all found in Australia) during the performance.  Bush awareness and first aid are also included as education is of the utmost importance when taking into consideration the prevalence of reptiles in the hot summer months in each local area.

The audience is told the truth regarding all these snakes and old wife’s tales are dismissed.  All age groups are drawn to the "deadly" snakes as they are always a favourite in shopping centres, at the Royal Bathurst Show and other local shows, whenever they appear.  

As of January 1, 2023 our costs become $1200/day (GST inclusive, with a hat donation) or a flat fee of $1320 (GST inclusive without a hat donation). Please note that travel expenses and an accommodation tariff maybe applicable if outside of the Wollongong-Katoomba-Sydney –Newcastle corridor. A copy of our Certificate of Currency and Working with Children Check will be included in your Booking Confirmation Pack.
