Reptile Shows & Early Stage 1 Programs

Snake Tails delivers gentle, engaging reptile shows designed specifically for children aged 3-6 years. Our Early Stage 1 programs introduce young learners to Australian reptiles in a safe, age-appropriate way that builds curiosity, respect, and confidence. Using simple language and a calm presentation style, we focus on wonder and discovery that’s perfect for early childhood learning.

Curriculum-Aligned Early Childhood Incursions

Our programs align with the NSW Science and Technology Syllabus for Early Stage 1, addressing Living World outcomes. The shows work brilliantly in childcare centres, preschools, and kindergarten classes, providing memorable learning without leaving familiar surroundings. We introduce essential safety concepts in simple terms, teaching children not to touch reptiles in the wild without an adult, to tell a grown-up if they see a snake, and to give reptiles space and respect.

Our shows run for about 60 minutes, perfect for young attention spans, and we can adjust timing to suit your routine. We provide all reptiles and equipment needed. Teachers consistently praise our ability to engage even the youngest students while maintaining a calm, supportive environment.

Hands-On Learning Experiences

Children learn about the basic needs of reptiles and key characteristics like scales, movement, and habitats. Through supervised hands-on experiences with non-venomous reptiles including pythons, blue-tongue lizards, and turtles, children can gently touch and observe these fascinating creatures. Every interaction is guided by Anthony, ensuring children feel safe throughout. Many start our shows feeling nervous but finish excited and eager to share what they’ve learned.
